Have not had much time to post lately because I have been so crazy busy with school and work. Anyways, just wanted to give a little update on everything.
Last month in February, I traveled to San Francisco, CA to volunteer in their annual Russian Festival. This was my second year in a row volunteering at the event and it was so much fun :)

I also met up with my friend James who is always so nice, and we always email each other. And I also made many new friends. I love volunteering because it is an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends <3

Now back to the scholarship.
Earlier this week I received an email from the NSEP regarding the Boren Scholarship, and my heart skipped a beat. I was thinking "omg, this seems too early for an acceptance, it must be a rejection...." and then I opened my email to find that it was only a link to take a survey on the application process, hahaha! And also to tell applicants that notifications would be sent out in early May. But omg, I felt like such a dork, getting all nervous and excited to open an email only to find out that it was a mass email for a survey, lol!
But anyways, now I know that we will be notified in May. ughgh!!!! I just wish I knew now! lol :)
