yay!!!!! 8 )

So I got accepted into the program!!!!!! I received my letter of acceptance like a few  days or a week after my interview. I just didn't have time to make a post about it becuase I was swamped with finals and work. But yeah....I got into the Russian program with the Knowledge Exchange Institute (K.E.I.) so I am glad for that! :)
That means...in a few short months I will be a student at the very prestigious Moscow State University (МГУ)!!!!! cannot wait!!!!!
me and my acceptance letter, lol! :)

....anyways...since that time of getting accepted, I had to turn in a bunch of paperwork  like course information, agreements, supplemental information, and more. the only piece of paperwork I have not turned in yet is my medical history paperwork. and that's because I TOTALLY did not realize I was supposed to get something signed off by my doctor, and thought I only needed the 2 year medical history paperwork I requested from my dr's office. Anyways, hope it isnt too big of a big deal that I will be turning it in late. Afterall, there's a guy left in my group who hasnt even turned in all of his other paperwork yet. Not that I want to compare myself with someone else who is lagging it. But ugh.... I just can't believe i totally didnt realize that portion on the bottom of the last page! :( well,  all I can do now is just turn it in as soon as I can. Good thing my program director is super nice and understanding. Hope it won't be a problem......

well, i need to sleep now...need to work another 12-hour shift tomorrow like I have been having this entire week.

some sad news....then some good news

So, i have just received an email from the National Security Education Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Scholarship program, and sadly.....i did not receive the scholarship.
 dammit. it sucks.
i really tried hard to get this scholarship too........  </3

i still very much appreciate everyone who helped me in this process...even though I didn't get the scholarship, I am still grateful to them :)

But that's not going to stop me from going to Russia. I finally got an email back yesterday from the Knowledge Exchange Institute (K.E.I.) for study abroad in Russia. Yay! I'm so excited :) If my application packet wasn't good enough, I wouldn't have gotten an email back. So yeah...yesterday I got an email back from the program and tomorrow, I have an interview with the program!

so no.... i will not have a free ride for the program, but instead will have to take out a huge ass loan that I will be paying off for a long time  :(
but i am glad that it is finally all happening :) Now i'm just super nervous for my interview tomorrow- especially because I say the word "like" a lot (yes, I'm a valley girl), and I dont want the guy interviewing me to think i'm retarded because of that.
Anyways......hope it all goes well tomorrow....so nervous like ajasjsalkfhjasfhashfkaskfask!!!!!!! lol

on a side not, just had some yummy Картошка!!!!!  :)

until next time!!
