So, Why am I Going Back?

I have just graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a major in International Studies, with my emphasis in Eastern Europe, and my minor was Russian. So yes...this was just last month. YAY ME! :)
i decided to add my MGU pin to my robe, since my studying in Russia was a part of my journey and future :)
here is my robe and my hat, and u can see my little pin, kinda :)

so ANYways.... why am i going back to Russia? It is because I love to freeze my ass off while still walking around in the icy streets while wearing a mini skirt and stilettos just so that I fit it? Is it because the country lacks a decent supply of peanut butter and I am a masochist who gets a sick thrill outta the suffering I will be in without peanut butter? Or maybe it's because Russia was so crazy for me the first time around that it totally messed with my brain and turned me into a crazy nut?
Well....to that, I would say I was already a crazy nut before I got there, but yes...maybe Russia made me a bit crazier while I was there, lol!

Well...the real reason I am going back is one reason: I fell head over heels in love with the country, which IS crazy. Every Russian I have met here in the states always tells me the same thing "Russia?! why do you want to go back? IIIIIII don't even want to go back!!!" But I always tell them that I loved it. I loved being in a total new land. I have traveled to other countries before and have loved them too, but could never see myself living there. I have loved those places enough to want to visit them again as a tourist, but Russia for me just seems like one big constant adventure. I know it sounds crazy, but when I lived there, not one day went by that was boring for me. Do i remember them all? of course not- I was living in Russia after all, and drinking vodka like almost every day.But seriously....even days that I THOUGHT were gonna be boring, I'd tell myself, "okay...i only have x months/weeks left here, so I cant waste it", and then I'd head out somewhere....Most times I wouldnt even know where I was going, so I'd just hop on the metro and get out in a spot that I thought maybe I would find something cool to do there. Even when I didnt find anything super cool there, i'd always meet people along the way...engage in conversations that I would not have had if I would have just stayed at home. and yes...occasionally these adventures of mine would lead to me being stalked by the occasional creeper. But I'm one tough chick, and always got out of every situation without a scratch :)
I'm a crazy person, so it is only fit that I live in a place as crazy as I am :)

Okay, so i'm in love with the country. Why else? Well...I got hired as an English teacher! yay me! of course, the way I'm gonna be writing on here is totally informal and there are gonna be a lot of errors, but here i figured I'm just gonna write the way I speak. why? because it's MY freakin blog! i can do whatever the hell I want with it. If that means every day uplaod a picture of a unicorn riding a rainbow, so be it! :)

But yes, I am super excited. I have been doing some teaching, not much, but some. And it's been fun for me. I know it's going to be different for me this time because I'm going to actually have a class, rather than a small group of students. I am going to be teaching for a well-known company based in Moscow, but at this moment, have decided to not make public the name of this company. Not because I am embarrassed of it or anything, but because in case I say something inappropriate (which I most likely will since I swear like a sailor), I wouldn't want to reflect badly on the company in any way. Of course, if you personally know me, you will know exactly where I work :)
but yes....i am super duper UBER excited!!!!! <3

So yep..by looking at this ticket, you can see that on August 28th, I will be at the DME airport, so yeah...that's kinda exciting :) As of today, I have 61 days until I am in Moscow!!!!! exciting huh? yep! IT IS!!!! :)

So, since I have a while before I leave, and I wanna get into the habit of keeping up with this blog, I figured I will put in entries pertaining to things related to my past there, or my future there. So, either photos with stories attached to them, or even things I am just buying or have bought to prepare for this long term trip :)

<3 always, Bree-Zy! ;)
